| Friday Night Dinner |
The Scott family would like to invite everyone to dinner on Friday night, so if
you're in town please join us! We'll be getting box lunches from an
excellent local deli, and taking them with us up the gondola ride at Vail
Ski Resort. That's right, we'll be eating dinner at the top of Vail
mountain with amazing 360* views! Details are as follows...

Dinner: |
We will meet for dinner at 6:00pm on Talons Deck.
Talons Deck is at the top of the Vail ski mountain and the only way to
get there is to take the gondola ride up the mountain. We will
have box lunches from an excellent local deli. Friday evenings there is
live music on the deck so feel free to stick around for music
and drinks. |

The Eagle Bahn Gondola is a large enclosed chairlift. The ride
takes only about 10 minutes and has great views of Vail and the
surrounding area. Follow this link for more

Backup Plan: |
In case of cold or rainy weather, we will meet for
dinner at the Christie Lodge in Avon at 6:00pm. We will have our
box lunches and maybe head to a bar or cafe after eating. If you're
unsure about the weather, call one of us to get the scoop.

Directions: |
To get to the Eagle Bahn Gondola at Vail Ski Resort, you'll
park in a parking structure called Lionshead and then take
a short walk through town. You may want to see if the
concierge at The Christie Lodge has any good maps of the area,
because I didn't have much luck finding them online. Here is
some basic directions:
- From the West: Heading East on I-70, take Vail
Exit #176. Follow the roundabout and pass under I-70.
At the next roundabout, veer Right towards "Lionshead
Village" onto S. Frontage Rd.
- From the East: Heading West on I-70, take Vail
Exit #176. At the bottom of the ramp, follow the
roundabout to head on S. Frontage Rd. towards "Lionshead
Village"
- After about 1/4 mile, look for the Lionshead Parking
Structure on your left.
- Park in the Lionshead Parking Structure (Parking is FREE
in the summer).
- Exit the parking structure on the southwest side, and
when you go down the stairs you'll see a Subway and a
covered bus stop across the street.
- Cross the street (E. Lionshead Circle) and go past the
bus stop.
- You will start to see shops and restaurants, such as
Vail Coffee, Flying Burrito, Double Diamond and
Garfinkel's Bar.
- After Garfinkel's, walk down the ramp and you'll see a
yellow tent. This is the entrance to the Gondola!
- After you get off the gondola, just head for Talon's Deck,
and we'll be hanging out somewhere outside on the patio.
